Contact Care-What to Do and What Not!

Contacts

What to Do:

  1. Do replace the solution you put your contacts in at night every time! The salt in the solution rises to the top so when you put your contacts in the water, it grabs all the salt before going into the water. Then you experience an unsatisfying burn in the morning!

  2. Do ask your optometrist about using a hydrogen peroxide soak. I prefer to use Clean Care for my contacts 2-3 times a week. How it works: imagine a deflated balloon. Then you paint it and let it dry. Then when you blow up the balloon, the paint peels off. Your contact is the balloon and debris that sticks to it is the paint.

  3. If the contacts are still uncomfortable, ask to try 1-day contacts

What to Not Do:

  1. Don't be harsh! If you are ripping your contact out and stabbing it in, then you should try not. This wear the contact out and promote breaking.

  2. Don't sleep with the contacts in. Surprisingly, it actually dries them out.

  3. Do not Swim with contacts unless you wear 1-days and are about to go to bed after swimming

I hope this helped you guys! Luv u!
