Review: ELF Therapeutic Lipbalm-Strawberry Creme

This is a pretty good lip balm.  It can feel greasy and I have some issues with the packaging but other than that its pretty nice.  It was only $1 at Target and ELF's website.  It used to have silver writing on it but after I used it about 3 times it all rubbed off!  The lid is okay, just be careful because it comes off fairly easily.  It twists up easily but is doesn't come up unless you want it to.

The color Strawberry Creme is a light baby/bubblegum pink shade.  As you see, it can be pigmented and is perfect for lightening your lips unless your are paler than this.  I don't bring this with me because it melts. I left is in the car for 30 minutes on an early fall afternoon and it was nearly liquid!  It would start melting inside of my pocket.  My suggestion: keep it for when you put on lip balm before your makeup and exfoliating.  It kind of makes your flakes stick out, making it easier to exfoliate.

I highly recommend this lip balm even though it has its down sides.
Pros: moisturizing, relatively pigmented, inexpensive, has multiple shades, smells/tasted good, perfect at home
Cons: can be greasy, melts easily, not portable

Review: Elf Brightening Quad~Blue Moon

Hello everyone!  I have hit pan on every single shade in this quad almost right after these pictures! lol  I will go from right to left. Navy: this is the most pigmented of all these shades! It is basically a matte navy with mild pearlesent ness.  I love it to set eyeliner. Pale Blue: This is perfect for a lid color because it is so rich and the mild shimmer makes you look awake and ready for the day!  Brown: This is a nice brown that could be better but I like it because of that.  It is easier to work with and I love it for so many things.  Champagne: This has a little bit more shimmer in it than the rest but is a nice translucent color perfect for a wash all over, the brow bone, toning down white eyeliner, or for the lid!  I love how this is perfect for beginners exploring more colorful shades!

All of the eye shadows in this are very smooth and gorgeous. they glide on easily and are not chunky on the eyelid!  This is nice for beginners because it is $1 and the shades have an amount of pigment that is good for experimenting.

I could find this at Dollar Tree, Big Lots, and Target stores.  If you can, this is really good! Especially for blue eyed girlies! Luv Y'all!
Pros: inexpensive, great texture, good colors, great for beginners, not chalky, perfect pigmentation, portable
Cons: hmmm....none?

DIY-Brush Bowl

Supplies:
  • Fish bowl shaped container that hold the brushes you need
  • Paintbrushes of your choosing
  • Blue beads or brush container beads
  • Bowl of water
  • Paper Towel
  • Ceramic or glass paint (available at Michael's)

Paint on fish, seaweed, sand and other fish-related things on the outside of bowl.  Get creative at this piont!  Here I created my own rainbow fish and a pink/magenta fish with some seaweed.

Here is an orange fish and a lavender one.

This is a small school of little yellow fish with gold detailing.

And now a green polkadotted one and three deep purple and silver fish.  I recomend adding a few groups of fish for variety.

Add the beads and voila!

I hope you liked this DIY and send me pictures of yours at pandasrbeautiful@gmail.com ! <3

Going Greener: Baggy Buddy

***So this post will kickoff this new line of posts that I will do.  Going Greener is where I will show you ways that I come up with to be more environmentally friendly.  I would love to hear your advice and if I feature your idea, I will give you, your blog/YouTube/Twitter a shout out.  Just make sure you include that info!
Today's Topic: Reusing Shopping Bags
So imagine this: your at Walmart, T.J.Maxx, or Safeway and you buy some stuff.  Maybe a few shirts, some bananas, etc.  What do you do when you get home? Unload, put away and toss those bags, right?  WRONG!  Here what you do.  If a bag does not have big holes in it, medium bags can be used for garbage bin liners or just bags for gathering trash.  Then the plastic with have more uses and it will save on the fancy liners.  Shopping bags are free.  Fancy trash bags are not.  One way I reuse my bags is to use the really small ones from Claire's, Forever 21, etc. next to my desk or in the car's glove box for the bits of garbage that you want gone!  The last tip I have is to store the bags in overnight bags, suitcases and other traveling things for dirty or wet laundry.  This is perfect for gym clothes, or even just going to a store with these will save more bags for others.
I hope you enjoyed my Going Greener and please email me your response ror comment down below. Luv y'all.!

Review: Elf Brightening Quad~Drama

The ELf quad in Drama is perfect for a dramatic smokey eye in one palette. The matte white is nice in a pallett of shimmers. The gunmetal is perfect for the crease and the silver on the lid. Then all you have to do is pop the black in for definition and you're good!

white: as you can already see, this is a very pigmented white. this was only one swipe and this is the only eyeshadow in this quad that I have not hit pan on. gunmetal: This may look pigmented, but it is not. I practicaly scrubed for this much pigment. this is also chalk full of glitter. black: Again this is not the best because it has major fallout and a lot of glitter but is more pigmented and workable than the others. silver: Mostly glitter and it fallsout so easily unless used wet. Looks really pretty on the eyes. These shades can all be worked with except the gunmetal.........

So even though this is a good palete, it is difficult to work with because of all the glitter and low pigment. My tip: use wet.

Pros: its great to have everything in one palette. The white is exraordinary and the rest can be dealt with. Inexpensive

Cons: almost every shade is glitter galore! this causes so much follout and low pigmentation.

Review: Elf Single Eyeshadow~Wisteria

This gorgeous color is a purpley pinkish hue (almost plumy) with some silver shimmer and has a mild blue duo chrome.  I love to use this on my lid or on the outer half or even a transition/blending color.  The swatch on http://www.eyeslipsface.com/ is much more purple than the really one but the blueish undertones add so much unique-ness.

Sadly it is not as pigmented ON you hand/eye as it is in the pan.  Although, this makes it even more wearable and easier to work with color wise.  I prefer to use this with pinks, bluish black grays, or browns.  The texture is nice but after u use it a bit, it gets bumpy...

If you are looking for a unique purple that can be used on your lid, then this is definitely for you!
Pros: has a unique color, it is easy to work with, and has a wonderful effect!
Cons: It gets bumpy after you use it a bit.

Nail Art - Two Tones

This tutorial is about using the trend of two tones.  My take on it is more about using the same color, but different hues.  I first tried out this pattern with purple and lavender. Then I tried gray/white, then red/hot pink, blue-green/lighter blue-green, and then a few others. I took pictures and here they are!

Trend Tracker:Fall Nails

Hey! I have seen a few trends in the latest beauty magazines like Teen Vogue and Allure. Here is a quick list: red, white, pale/pastels, orange, metallic and bare. Now I shall go in depth.
RED: I have already told you about the crimson trend so this you already know. Sally Hansen Intadry-Speedy Red. WHITE: So many times I have seen white nails on the latest models! I used to question this look, but then I realized that it goes with everything! Essie-Blanc. PALE/PASTEL: any pale green, purple, blue, yellow, pink, et. will match this trend! It looks clean but colorfully cute. Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear-Lacy Lilac, Mint Sorbet. ORANGE: I knew this was going to come because of the crimson. Any very bright or redish orange will do. NYC-Times Square Tangerine Creme. METALLIC: I have only seen silver metallic around and I have loved this mani for a while. LA Colors-Live. BARE: I have seen this more than the pale and pastels on madels nails. Not French manicures, but literal bare, healthy nails!
So this is the end and I hope that you all liked this and give me an email or comment to tell me what I should do next and give me feed back on this trend!

Crackle at Claire's

My friend from out of town, Robin, and I went to the mall recently and during our epic adventure, we went to the Claire's. As we were searching though the headbands, scarves and hair clips, we saw the Claire's brand crackle polish. I have been waiting sooo long until I could use Crackle. The nice store clerks allowed me to test the nail polish before buying and it really works! There was a Buy One Get One 50% so when I found this awesome stuff, I got two! I wanted silver and black, but sadly neither were there. I gold and pink because they are also very pretty. Tell me by email or by commenting if you want a demo or review! I put the gold over the orange for Thanksgiving and I like it! Much Love!

Review: Color Me Happy Conditioner Herbal Essences

Color Me Happy Conditioner: 1/10
Claims Replenishes natural moisture and shine: shine was there except it was grease....So my hair was both totally greasy and totally dry and gross. 0/2
Scent:  Moroccan Rose and Passion Fruit: The Rose smell is much more strong in this so it balances the passion fruit smell that pains me. 1/2
Texture of Product:  The texture is nice but the thing is that it leaves SO much build up that I could literally pull out clumps of junk from my friggin scalp!!!!! WTF?!?!?! 0/2
Texture of Hair:  Ugh Horrible I don't want to talk about it... lets just say 0/2
Performance:  by breaking me out, I really hate this. It's only use is for shaving.....For people who have tough skin.... Ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww! 0/2

Review: Color Me Happy Shampoo Herbal Essences

Herbal Essences Color Me Happy Shampoo: 1/10

Claims   Reveals natural shine, moisturizes: This is the opposite of moisture....it made my hair super duper frizzy and gross..... It does make your hair shiny though. I havnet even tried it with colored hair yet it is so terrible. 1/2
Scent:  Moroccan Rose and Passion Fruit: i deffinatley smell the passion fruit but the rose is very hard to detect. It was a little overwhelming......and gave me a headache sometimes. 0/2
Texture of Product:  This is just a typical gel. The wierd thing is that it does not lather practically at all! It just kinda melts away.....I need a lot to get though my hair. This sadly dried my hair so much that there were so many flyaways from both frizz and breakage from being so dry! 0/2
Texture of Hair: Dry, gross, fizzy, glitter, weird. and it broke me out alon my hair line!!! WTF?!??! ugh I really wanted this to work.....0/2
Performance:  By breaking me out drying my hair, making it frizzy and not to mention the costant build up, this product is overall terrible. I would never reccomend. 0/2

www.wnwbeauty.com

This is my happy place! Just putting that out there...I am going to give you a tour/review of the Wet 'n' Wild website.

When you first get there, you will see pictures of their latest collection, deals, or other special thing. In the upper left corner there is a list of all the places on the site. Products, Newsletter, Makeup Advisor, WNW Beauty Ambassador, WNW Cares, WNW V.I.P. Login, and Where to Buy. Everything is perfectly laid out and easy to maneuver. One of my favorite things to look at would be their eye products! Their eyeshadows are to die for....Not to mention affordable!

Their Newsletter is really nice and it gives so much info in a short amount of time! It is so fun to read and to look at what it is about. They update all of the latest trends and fashions and where to get the supplies you need. Only downside is the fact that they don't update the newsletter very often.....

Every so often, on the Makeup Advisor, they have product you can use to create a look or two. This includes a video and a list of the products. The Beauty Ambassotor and WNW Cares has all of the details and the sign up info. I just read some and now I love Wet n' Wild even more! I have not yet become a WNW V.I.P. but I cannot wait to do so!

One of the best things about http://www.wnwbeauty.com/ is that is is fast and it doesnt lock up your computer! Also all of the swatches are true to color and that is the BEST part! My problem with http://www.eyeslipsface.com/ is the swatches....they are never true to color......

Bottom Line: 10/10
