Positively Pampering: How-To Facial

When you give yourself a facial, here are the 5 main things that you will need: cleanser, scrub, mask, toner, and moisturizer. Blurbing time!
  1. Cleanser or Scrub-Now you can do either one first. I prefer to scrub first. After you remove your makeup or wake up, wash your face thoroughly with one of the items. Do not be harsh! Just keep working the cleanser or scrub into your skin and rinse very well. If you scrub first, then it will get all the dead skin cells off and make your cleanser work better, but is better if you do this first thing in the morning. If you use the cleanser first, then it gets makeup, dirt oil and that junk so that the scrub can work better.
  2. Mask-'Tis the time to do the mask part of the facial. You can use one of Freeman's great masks like the Cucumber Peel-Off or the Avocado Oatmeal Clay Mask, or a mini one in the packets. There is the option of creating your own which is fun but can be hard! I suggest pressing a warm damp washcloth to your face for About 30 seconds to open the pores so the mask really works. Then apply a layer of the mask with a spatula or your fingers and wait for it to dry or get to the texture it needs to be to take off. To take off, if it is completely dry, use a moist towel with warm water to take it off. If it is not completely dry, use your fingers to get the majority or it off then use the same towel technique. Splash face with warm water.
  3. Tone and Moisturize-After the mask is off, use a toner to clean any residue out of your pores and to prevent future breakouts. After this step, moisturize using a cream, facial lotion, or a pure coconut oil. Fan your face until you are refreshed and the lotion is dry.
I hope you enjoyed this Positively Pampering post and have a great day!

Glam Bag! January 2012

I just received my January Glam Bag from www.myglam.com and want to show y'all! The bag is cloth but the inside is plastic and makeup proof! Here we go:

  • Freeman Facial Peel-Off Mask with Cucumber: Full-size 6 fl oz. This is supposed to peel off any impurities while the cucumber extract makes skin silky and soft. Cant wait to try!

  • Wen Sweet Almond Mint Cleansing Conditioner: Sample 2 fl oz. This acts like a shampoo, but doesn't have any Sodium Laurel Sulfate so it does not damage extensions or color treated hair. I am only going to use this about once every week or two.

  • Sheer Cover Concealer Duo in Light/Medium: Full-size 3 g. The light side is a slightly yellow concealer perfect for under the eyes, while the medium would be good for the nose or in the summer. And it is originally $30! OMG

  • The Balm Shady Lady Eyeshadow in Shameless Shana: Full-size 3.4 g. This is a beautiful chocolaty, bronze shimmery shade perfect for a smokey look, natural, or a one shadow eye look. Very soft and pigmented!

That's it! All of this was only $10 free shipping. Much love!

Braces? Going Somewhere?

How's your Monday been? I just got some more Invisaline trays and was thinking about ways I could keep my teeth clean without toothbrush and toothpaste! I had a few ideas and wanted to share:

  • Wisps: These things are little toothbrushes with a bubble of gel that acts like toothpaste and freshens your breath and cleans your teeth. On the end, it has a tooth pick and it the entire thing is about the size of a lipstick!

  • Gum: Of coarse this is very helpful and if you have metal braces, you can still chew gum if is doesnt have any sugar. After you eat and enjoy the flavor, pop a peice of your favorite gum and there you go!

  • Listerine Strips: You have probably seen these in the store. They are little stips of mouthwash! Perfect little container for your purse or pocket and they take seconds to melt!

  • Floss: Easiest thing ever! you can use little plastic flossers or just the string in the little containers in the travel section of Walmart or Target.

I hope you enjoyed!

My Favorite Neutral Palettes!

Happy Saterday everyone! I just wanted to show you my top 3 Favorite neautral eyeshadow palettes!

Sorry it is upside down! From left to right: LA Colors-Cafe au Lait, Wet n Wild-Walking on Eggshells, Maybelline-Browntones.

Cafe au Lait-There is a cream, a pink champagne, pinky tan, an orange bronze, a chocolate brown and a purple. They are all shimmery. I absolutely love this and it was only a dollar at Dollar Tree!

Walking on Eggshells-A shimmery pink cream, a medium brown and a shimmery pink champagne. For $3 at Walgreens and Ulta this was totally worth it!

Browntones-Two matte brown colors w/extremely mild shimmer make this a total wearable look for anyone! And it is beginner friendly! This is about $4 at Walmart.

Hope you enjoyed! give me ideas for posts please!

Products I Regret Buying

PRODUCTS:
NYC Lipstick in Retro Red and Petal-These both have a chemical gros smell and the red one stains, and the pink one highlightes the linges in the lips and is so shimmery it looks white! i use it as a blush base but the red is useless.
Ulta Lipstick in Nude-This is a very brown lipstick and it is creamy and nice but the color is aweful. I use it as a base for my blushes as well. lol
WetnWild Nail polish in Party of 5 Glitters-The glitter is very spread out and chips but doesnt come off. It also takes a long time to dry whereas the clear did not. The clear also took off my nail polish...
Almay 1Coat Dial Up-This clumps my lashes together and smells aweful and wore off my eyelashes in about 2 hours. It also irritates my eyes. ):
Sally Girl Bronzer-Here is the link to my review.
NYC concealer in Yellow-This wears off very easily and hardly covers. I can work with it under FOUNDATION not another concealer. And it can work with the blending with the crease brush but still wish I had gotten the skin color.
NYC White eyeliner-No Pigment, and irritates my eyes so much. I mush prefer Wet n Wild
NYC Lip tin in Sugar Angel-This is nice but it is so gloppy that it is so hard to get it to look good. Same goes for the red one, Sugar Baby.
Claire's Nail polish in Snowball-This is half dried up and half separated into a yellow liquid and a white goo... ):
ELF Concealer-I think that this is just the wrong shade. I have it in Light beige and it looks orange. They have a lighter shadem, Ivory, and I am pretty sure that is what I am!

Thanks for joining me on this litte rant and I hope you all liked! If you make a post on it, leave the link down bellow!

Review: Jordana Pretty Shine Lipgloss-7 Darling, 8 Delightful, 9 Gorgeous

Top to Bottom: Darling(shiny, transparent, baby pink), Delightful(cool coral/orangey medium pink), Gorgeous(cool deep red with silver shimmer)

The red is really pigmented and so is the coral. The pink is the most used because it is sheer and pink(if the others were sheer, then they would be used more often). They all smell like a sweet, sugary cake with raspberry frosting...The silver shimmer is more noticablee on the lips in the sheer pink thenin the others but are noticable in them all. For a lipgloss, they are quite long wearing! They last about 45 minutes to an hour and it feels nice to reapply. Darling is the least thick and sticky but the others are kinda thick and heavy.

Pros: smells good, longwearing. 7 is the most used, red most pigmented, 8 most smooth

Cons: glitter is a little chunky and thick in some. 8 is hard to wear

Review: CoverGirl Cheekers Blush-140 Plumberry Glow

I have had this blush since i was little and I just cant seem to use it up! It is a beautiful plumy pink with mild gold shimmer a pearlesenct feel. The packaging is really old but it does still come with a brush in the new ones.

Most people cant find the names of Cover Girl stuff but if you look under the bar code, there is usually a name. I dont remember the price of this but 3 grams is a lot because you dont use much at all! The number and color and name are all the same in the new packaging. In the picture below, you can see the plum/pink color, pearesenct and a little glimmer of gold. I cant wait to get more colors!

Pros: pretty color that would suite many skin tones, pearlesent, not chunky glitter but shimmer

Cons: none! of it was bigger then not travel friendly!

Review: SallyGirl Mascara-Brown

SALLY GIRL MASCARA IN BROWN-$0.99

This is a mini mascara that is about 2 1/2 inches long. It does flake a little and can clump but it is extremely workable, even on the go! I bought this to see if I liked brown mascara and I do! It looks really natural especially if it is paired with charcoal eyeliner! Weird, I know. I wouldn't say that this gave noticeable volume or extreme length, but it does cover the lashes evenly and opens the eyes. This quality makes it perfect if you are going for the "naturally flawless" look.

The wand is not long or short, but just right! The head is a spiral which makes it kinda like a comb, dividing each lash from the others. it started out dry when I first got this but then it got wetter....?

Pros: No large clumps, extreme dry or wetness, or other bad stuff. Separates lashes and coats them evenly

Cons: Not long wearing and can flake. I have to reapply throughout the day.

7.5/10

I think that for 99 cents, go get it, try it out and if you don't like it then it was less that a dollar!

Review: BonneBell Lip Lites-Cherry Berry Kiss

Bonne Bell lipLITES in Cherry Berry Kiss

This is the darkest of the lipLITES and is a poppy, red, berry, pink color with golden shimmer(???) The packaging is really nice. It has a wand with a doe foot applicator and the handle is a shiny dark, dark grey with silver shimmer almost. The tube itself is clear so you can see the color easily. This is one of my most reached for products!

The color Cherry Berry Kiss fits the smell so well! I smell cherries, raspberries, strawberries, and blackberries! The main color is red, then a poppy/raspberry color, then pink, with a hint of berry. There is a gorgeous gold glimmer in it and really warms up the face. Although, you can't feel the glitter on your lips! The gloss feels like smooth, lipgloss heaven! I love wearing this on its own!

Pros: smooth, not chunky glitter, good color, good smell, great packaging, inexpensive

Cons: i suppose that the applicator could be wider but no biggy

Review: SallyGirl Baked Eyeshadow-Teal

SALLY GIRL BAKED EYESHADOW IN TEAL

The size of these eyeshadows are about a nickel and the actual eyeshadow is about a dime size but quite high. One packaging problem that I have is that it can be hard to open and there are so names. On the website there are names but no numbers. In the store there are numbers but no names...For 99 cents, it is a pretty good deal! The lid is clear so it is easy to see the color but the black around it makes it easy to see the color as well because the teal is very shimmery.

As you can see, the color in the pan is very true to color! Unlike most baked eyeshadows, when this is wet, it is just a yellow, teal and green glitter. It is more pigmented dry, which saves time in the morning! It is so pigmented and shimmery, that just a little bit makes the product stretch for such a long time! Glitter can get everywhere but does not fall on your cheeks or under your eyes unless you don't tap off the excess. The eyeshadow is extremely soft but does not crumble or smush.

Pros: soft, pigmented, shimmery, not chunky, lasts long, good quality packaging, easy to use

Cons: some of the packaging is not good

It's Friday the 13th ! ! ! ! !

Hey everyone! I know that I have been doing so many reviews lately but in the new year I like to tell yall what I think is good and not good! I thought of another New Years resolution: watch or read tutorials and reviews on things BEFORE I buy them to make sure I don't waste any money because, my laptop which I am saving for is $470...Yikes!
A new Fresh Paint is coming up soon! Is it just me, or is glitter extraspectacular?!?!? Please tell me about 3 things that you want me to like review, tutorial, nail polish, OOTD, etc. Just stuff! I am so bored with going on my own instincts! I would love to do stuff like fashion help or something but I dont know if that is what you want!!!
Sorry for this little blab! Only a week of reviews left then back to other stuff! Love yall!

Review: SallyGirl Bronzer

SALLY GIRL BRONZING POWDER

This powder is the worst stuff ever. The only good thing about this is that it is soft. I would say that being pigmented is a good thing as well but it is bad for this reason: it is orange. It looks brown in the pan, on the finger, on the brush but them you lightly sweep this on your face and magically you are an oompa loompa. The reason I hit pan is because I used it as a powder foundation for Halloween. The first time, I was wondering if it worked and I hit pan. The pan then grew because I was trying out the other Halloween makeup. I do not like this. I regret buying so very much.

This picture makes this bronzer look semi-brown but you can see all the orange and glitter and white filler powder. I wish Sally Girl has put more effort into this because there are white chunks, silver and gold chunks and burnt orange in this. I think that I paid around $1.50 for this but it wasn't even wort that.

Pros: really soft and pigmented, good for oompa loompa Halloween costume

Cons: glittery, orange, filler in it, cakey, not long wearing, horrid quality

Review: CoverGirl Lash Blast Length Mascara

COVER GIRL LASH BLAST LENGTH (waterproof) MASCARA

Cover Girl, you have done it again! Made a wonderful mascara! This is really waterproof! The only time it came off was when I was rubbing my eyes every time I came out of the water in a pool...This doesnt clump, flake, or become droopy after a few hours. It holds curl longer than my Wet n wild Megaplump and evenly coat my lashes from root to tip, defining every lash! The only down side is that the actual head of the wand is extremly long and my mom didnt like it.

The bristles are rubber and evenly spaced. The container itself is a telescope shape that fits easily into tight spaces unlike the Lash Blast Volume. I usually use about 2 coats but it does give volume at 3.

Pros: thin packaging, doesnt clump, not dry or too wet, lengthens really well

Cons: large wand, but workable

Review: Herbal Essences None of Your Frizzness Conditioner

HERBAL ESSENCES NONE OF YOUR FRIZZNESS CONDITIONER

Scent: Mandarin Cream and Pearl-sweet citrus and a little salty and grapefruit 2/2
Claims: Softness, Frizzies, Flyways, and Heat Protectant-This definitely made my hair silky smooth and cut any frizz the shampoo missed! It protected my hair from the heat I used lately but did not tame my flyways! 1/2
Texture of Product: very soft and gel like but creamy as well. It covered my hair so well that I didnt need as much conditioner as I did shampoo! 2/2
Texture of Hair: Really soft! It rinsed out enought to not be sticky but to leave a thin film!  I did have to use baking soda a bit, so that can be annoying... 2/2
Performance: It made my hair soft, tangle free, and unfrizzy. it is not the best, or the worst. 2/2

Review: Herbal Essences None of Your Frizzness Shampoo

HERBAL ESSENCES NONE OF YOUR FRIZZNESS SHAMPOO

Scent: Mandarin Cream and Pearls-Grapefruit, tangerine, and starfruit are the scents that I pick up. I don't know about pearl smell but it smells really good! 2/2
Claims: Shine, Frizz free, Silky Hair-This did, for the most part, keep my hair frizzfree! I didn't use my frizz control except once! i don't think that the shampoo made my hair silky on its own. I did need to use shine serum, if I wanted shine. 1/2
Texture of Product: Slightly slimy but creamy texture and works into lather quite easily 2/2
Texture of Hair: My hair was kinda very moisturized but striped of moisture at the same time. I tried it without the conditioner and it was extremely dry and flat. 1/2
Performance: over all, as long as you have the conditioner and you will be fine! 2/2
Total: 8/10

Review: SallyGirl Single Eyeshadow-Beige

SALLY GIRL SINGLE EYESHADOW IN BEIGE

This is an amazing eyeshadow! It is pigmented, soft, long wearing(w/primer) and extremely inexpensive! It is the perfect NEUTRAL skin tone for light-medium skin tones! I use it for a highlight and sometimes a lid color. If you have a darker complexion, this would probably work but if it doesn't, then it is only 99 cents! In this picture, it broke. This specific eyeshadow is so soft that it crumbles in my drawer when I quickly open and shut it. But don't let this turn you off of this!

This beige is completely matte and is a little lighter than my extremely pink skin tone. There is no shimmer, pearlesentness, shimmer, gleam, whatever, making this the best neutral shadow! If you have a Sally's Beauty Supplies near you, go get this! At least try!

Pros: matte, soft, pigmented, inexpensive, neutral(not cool or warm)

Cons: breaks easily

Review: CoverGirl Lash Blast Volume Mascara

COVER GIRL LASH BLAST VOLUME

This is a review that i have to do from memory because I had to through this away! It is one thing that I really want to repurchase! It was not clumpy, not dry, not too wet! The brush is a monster and has rubber bristles that separate and coat the lashes evenly. This mascara really made my entire face look bright because it was so gorgeous. Because this is a drugstore mascara, it is fairly cheap and lasted me 4-5 months because it didn't dry out. I didn't use it every day so don't hate on me!

I abso-lutley loooved this! The only thing is that the awkward shape and it doesn't fit in some places. Thus it is difficult to pack :(

Pros: lots of volume! and length too! Really transformed my lashes, long wearing, no flaking, no clumping, evenly spaced lashes.

Cons: Th shape of the bottle is really weird and doesn't fit in some places..and it doesn't hold curl as well as others.
