It's New Years Eve!

For New Years, I am wearing a poppy lipstick , simple eyeliner and mascara, and zebra nails! For clothes, I am wearing a simple jeans and nice shirt. Here are my New Years resolutions:

  1. Start Blogging and Uploading Videos Regularly. I am planning on having a schedule because it works for me! I think that I will film D1, edit D2, and upload D3; post D1, skip D2, and post D3. Then D4 is for finishing up or taking a break.

  2. No Going to Bed With Makeup On. I was good about this but now...not so much. I only don't take it off when I am tired or sick which is when you really need to! lol

  3. Take Better Care of My Teeth. i have Invisaline and I need to remember to wear them! So I will do extra good things for my teeth!

  4. Stick to My Diet. I am on the Specific Carbohydrate Diet and i really need to stick with it! Only for a while...Then I am healed!

  5. Clean Brushes. I want to clean my brushes every weekend. This is wear the schedule comes in.

  6. Focus on School! I am almost my own teacher! I am half the staff! My mom is the other half...So I need to, again, get a schedule, and get my paint together!

  7. Finish Brother's Room. My little brother and I share a room. His room is occupied by another brother. when we move Connor(big) down in the basement, Ian(little) moves out! Then I have my own room for high school!

  8. Excercize Regularly. This, I have been doing lately and I am sooo proud!
Have a Happy 2012!

Accomplished Item # 27-29

27. She's the Man: I loved this movie! it is definitely an older teen movie. Not recommended for kids. It has some stuff in it that is funny, but my little brother was asking some detailed questions. I still love this movie and will see it again while I await reading 12th Night by William Shakespeare. 9/10

28. You Again: OMG this is the funniest movie ever! I love Odette, who is playing Dr. Adams in the TV show House, in this movie. She plays the perfect mean girl! The story is amazing and I love Grandma Bunny....Character Development is almost everything to me and that was all I saw! But everything about this movie is awesome. 10/10

29. Music and Lyrics: This movie was so cute! it had great music and Drew Barrymore was AMAZING in it! She reminds me of the friend who recommended it! lol. The cute POP! band was so funny in the beginning and I really think that you should watch it! 10/10

Review: Almay Intence I-Color for Hazels

I was waiting for so long to get this and I was so happy to find it at Big Lots for about $2!  There is a really light and shimmering shade that is like a hazel but has wonderful pigment.  The middle shade is spectacular! I love the sheen it gives while the color payoff is amazing! The pink is slightly metallic and is a very beautiful shade with the others!

every color is buttery smooth and has lasting power.  Each pan is about 1.2 g and the slightest touch is enough.  Yes, they still sell this at Target and Walmart and I suggest you look for it at Safeway.  There is not too much glitter, shimmer and each shade works [perfectly for each place it is meant to be.

You know how you will get a trio and one shade just doesn't work?  This is not the case!  Each color compliments the others.  All of the swatches are not on a primer.
Pros: inexpensive, shades compliment the others, buttery smooth texture, not powdery, sturdy and cute packaging.
Cons: I don't have any really!

Review: ELF Therapeutic Lipbalm-Strawberry Creme

This is a pretty good lip balm.  It can feel greasy and I have some issues with the packaging but other than that its pretty nice.  It was only $1 at Target and ELF's website.  It used to have silver writing on it but after I used it about 3 times it all rubbed off!  The lid is okay, just be careful because it comes off fairly easily.  It twists up easily but is doesn't come up unless you want it to.

The color Strawberry Creme is a light baby/bubblegum pink shade.  As you see, it can be pigmented and is perfect for lightening your lips unless your are paler than this.  I don't bring this with me because it melts. I left is in the car for 30 minutes on an early fall afternoon and it was nearly liquid!  It would start melting inside of my pocket.  My suggestion: keep it for when you put on lip balm before your makeup and exfoliating.  It kind of makes your flakes stick out, making it easier to exfoliate.

I highly recommend this lip balm even though it has its down sides.
Pros: moisturizing, relatively pigmented, inexpensive, has multiple shades, smells/tasted good, perfect at home
Cons: can be greasy, melts easily, not portable

Review: Elf Brightening Quad~Blue Moon

Hello everyone!  I have hit pan on every single shade in this quad almost right after these pictures! lol  I will go from right to left. Navy: this is the most pigmented of all these shades! It is basically a matte navy with mild pearlesent ness.  I love it to set eyeliner. Pale Blue: This is perfect for a lid color because it is so rich and the mild shimmer makes you look awake and ready for the day!  Brown: This is a nice brown that could be better but I like it because of that.  It is easier to work with and I love it for so many things.  Champagne: This has a little bit more shimmer in it than the rest but is a nice translucent color perfect for a wash all over, the brow bone, toning down white eyeliner, or for the lid!  I love how this is perfect for beginners exploring more colorful shades!

All of the eye shadows in this are very smooth and gorgeous. they glide on easily and are not chunky on the eyelid!  This is nice for beginners because it is $1 and the shades have an amount of pigment that is good for experimenting.

I could find this at Dollar Tree, Big Lots, and Target stores.  If you can, this is really good! Especially for blue eyed girlies! Luv Y'all!
Pros: inexpensive, great texture, good colors, great for beginners, not chalky, perfect pigmentation, portable
Cons: hmmm....none?

DIY-Brush Bowl

Supplies:
  • Fish bowl shaped container that hold the brushes you need
  • Paintbrushes of your choosing
  • Blue beads or brush container beads
  • Bowl of water
  • Paper Towel
  • Ceramic or glass paint (available at Michael's)

Paint on fish, seaweed, sand and other fish-related things on the outside of bowl.  Get creative at this piont!  Here I created my own rainbow fish and a pink/magenta fish with some seaweed.

Here is an orange fish and a lavender one.

This is a small school of little yellow fish with gold detailing.

And now a green polkadotted one and three deep purple and silver fish.  I recomend adding a few groups of fish for variety.

Add the beads and voila!

I hope you liked this DIY and send me pictures of yours at pandasrbeautiful@gmail.com ! <3

Going Greener: Baggy Buddy

***So this post will kickoff this new line of posts that I will do.  Going Greener is where I will show you ways that I come up with to be more environmentally friendly.  I would love to hear your advice and if I feature your idea, I will give you, your blog/YouTube/Twitter a shout out.  Just make sure you include that info!
Today's Topic: Reusing Shopping Bags
So imagine this: your at Walmart, T.J.Maxx, or Safeway and you buy some stuff.  Maybe a few shirts, some bananas, etc.  What do you do when you get home? Unload, put away and toss those bags, right?  WRONG!  Here what you do.  If a bag does not have big holes in it, medium bags can be used for garbage bin liners or just bags for gathering trash.  Then the plastic with have more uses and it will save on the fancy liners.  Shopping bags are free.  Fancy trash bags are not.  One way I reuse my bags is to use the really small ones from Claire's, Forever 21, etc. next to my desk or in the car's glove box for the bits of garbage that you want gone!  The last tip I have is to store the bags in overnight bags, suitcases and other traveling things for dirty or wet laundry.  This is perfect for gym clothes, or even just going to a store with these will save more bags for others.
I hope you enjoyed my Going Greener and please email me your response ror comment down below. Luv y'all.!

Review: Elf Brightening Quad~Drama

The ELf quad in Drama is perfect for a dramatic smokey eye in one palette. The matte white is nice in a pallett of shimmers. The gunmetal is perfect for the crease and the silver on the lid. Then all you have to do is pop the black in for definition and you're good!

white: as you can already see, this is a very pigmented white. this was only one swipe and this is the only eyeshadow in this quad that I have not hit pan on. gunmetal: This may look pigmented, but it is not. I practicaly scrubed for this much pigment. this is also chalk full of glitter. black: Again this is not the best because it has major fallout and a lot of glitter but is more pigmented and workable than the others. silver: Mostly glitter and it fallsout so easily unless used wet. Looks really pretty on the eyes. These shades can all be worked with except the gunmetal.........

So even though this is a good palete, it is difficult to work with because of all the glitter and low pigment. My tip: use wet.

Pros: its great to have everything in one palette. The white is exraordinary and the rest can be dealt with. Inexpensive

Cons: almost every shade is glitter galore! this causes so much follout and low pigmentation.

Review: Elf Single Eyeshadow~Wisteria

This gorgeous color is a purpley pinkish hue (almost plumy) with some silver shimmer and has a mild blue duo chrome.  I love to use this on my lid or on the outer half or even a transition/blending color.  The swatch on http://www.eyeslipsface.com/ is much more purple than the really one but the blueish undertones add so much unique-ness.

Sadly it is not as pigmented ON you hand/eye as it is in the pan.  Although, this makes it even more wearable and easier to work with color wise.  I prefer to use this with pinks, bluish black grays, or browns.  The texture is nice but after u use it a bit, it gets bumpy...

If you are looking for a unique purple that can be used on your lid, then this is definitely for you!
Pros: has a unique color, it is easy to work with, and has a wonderful effect!
Cons: It gets bumpy after you use it a bit.

Nail Art - Two Tones

This tutorial is about using the trend of two tones.  My take on it is more about using the same color, but different hues.  I first tried out this pattern with purple and lavender. Then I tried gray/white, then red/hot pink, blue-green/lighter blue-green, and then a few others. I took pictures and here they are!

NYC Purple Pizazz w/Kiss Lavender

Sally Hansen Instadry Speedy Red w/Kiss Hot Pink

Ulta Gray w/Sinful Colors Bad Chick

Sinful Colors Gorgeous w/Kiss Teal

Sinful Colors I Love You w/JustShine Blackout
The designs themselves (from pinkie to thumb) are: Half Moon Manicure w/Raindrops; French Tip; Diagonal Tip w/Extra line; 3/5 of nail French Tip; Grid.  Tell me which colors YOU try by email or comment.  Luv y'all!
