Review: SallyGirl Mascara-Brown

SALLY GIRL MASCARA IN BROWN-$0.99

This is a mini mascara that is about 2 1/2 inches long. It does flake a little and can clump but it is extremely workable, even on the go! I bought this to see if I liked brown mascara and I do! It looks really natural especially if it is paired with charcoal eyeliner! Weird, I know. I wouldn't say that this gave noticeable volume or extreme length, but it does cover the lashes evenly and opens the eyes. This quality makes it perfect if you are going for the "naturally flawless" look.

The wand is not long or short, but just right! The head is a spiral which makes it kinda like a comb, dividing each lash from the others. it started out dry when I first got this but then it got wetter....?

Pros: No large clumps, extreme dry or wetness, or other bad stuff. Separates lashes and coats them evenly

Cons: Not long wearing and can flake. I have to reapply throughout the day.

7.5/10

I think that for 99 cents, go get it, try it out and if you don't like it then it was less that a dollar!

Review: SallyGirl Baked Eyeshadow-Teal

SALLY GIRL BAKED EYESHADOW IN TEAL

The size of these eyeshadows are about a nickel and the actual eyeshadow is about a dime size but quite high. One packaging problem that I have is that it can be hard to open and there are so names. On the website there are names but no numbers. In the store there are numbers but no names...For 99 cents, it is a pretty good deal! The lid is clear so it is easy to see the color but the black around it makes it easy to see the color as well because the teal is very shimmery.

As you can see, the color in the pan is very true to color! Unlike most baked eyeshadows, when this is wet, it is just a yellow, teal and green glitter. It is more pigmented dry, which saves time in the morning! It is so pigmented and shimmery, that just a little bit makes the product stretch for such a long time! Glitter can get everywhere but does not fall on your cheeks or under your eyes unless you don't tap off the excess. The eyeshadow is extremely soft but does not crumble or smush.

Pros: soft, pigmented, shimmery, not chunky, lasts long, good quality packaging, easy to use

Cons: some of the packaging is not good

Review: SallyGirl Bronzer

SALLY GIRL BRONZING POWDER

This powder is the worst stuff ever. The only good thing about this is that it is soft. I would say that being pigmented is a good thing as well but it is bad for this reason: it is orange. It looks brown in the pan, on the finger, on the brush but them you lightly sweep this on your face and magically you are an oompa loompa. The reason I hit pan is because I used it as a powder foundation for Halloween. The first time, I was wondering if it worked and I hit pan. The pan then grew because I was trying out the other Halloween makeup. I do not like this. I regret buying so very much.

This picture makes this bronzer look semi-brown but you can see all the orange and glitter and white filler powder. I wish Sally Girl has put more effort into this because there are white chunks, silver and gold chunks and burnt orange in this. I think that I paid around $1.50 for this but it wasn't even wort that.

Pros: really soft and pigmented, good for oompa loompa Halloween costume

Cons: glittery, orange, filler in it, cakey, not long wearing, horrid quality

Review: SallyGirl Single Eyeshadow-Beige

SALLY GIRL SINGLE EYESHADOW IN BEIGE

This is an amazing eyeshadow! It is pigmented, soft, long wearing(w/primer) and extremely inexpensive! It is the perfect NEUTRAL skin tone for light-medium skin tones! I use it for a highlight and sometimes a lid color. If you have a darker complexion, this would probably work but if it doesn't, then it is only 99 cents! In this picture, it broke. This specific eyeshadow is so soft that it crumbles in my drawer when I quickly open and shut it. But don't let this turn you off of this!

This beige is completely matte and is a little lighter than my extremely pink skin tone. There is no shimmer, pearlesentness, shimmer, gleam, whatever, making this the best neutral shadow! If you have a Sally's Beauty Supplies near you, go get this! At least try!

Pros: matte, soft, pigmented, inexpensive, neutral(not cool or warm)

Cons: breaks easily
