Positively Pampering: How-To Facial

When you give yourself a facial, here are the 5 main things that you will need: cleanser, scrub, mask, toner, and moisturizer. Blurbing time!
  1. Cleanser or Scrub-Now you can do either one first. I prefer to scrub first. After you remove your makeup or wake up, wash your face thoroughly with one of the items. Do not be harsh! Just keep working the cleanser or scrub into your skin and rinse very well. If you scrub first, then it will get all the dead skin cells off and make your cleanser work better, but is better if you do this first thing in the morning. If you use the cleanser first, then it gets makeup, dirt oil and that junk so that the scrub can work better.
  2. Mask-'Tis the time to do the mask part of the facial. You can use one of Freeman's great masks like the Cucumber Peel-Off or the Avocado Oatmeal Clay Mask, or a mini one in the packets. There is the option of creating your own which is fun but can be hard! I suggest pressing a warm damp washcloth to your face for About 30 seconds to open the pores so the mask really works. Then apply a layer of the mask with a spatula or your fingers and wait for it to dry or get to the texture it needs to be to take off. To take off, if it is completely dry, use a moist towel with warm water to take it off. If it is not completely dry, use your fingers to get the majority or it off then use the same towel technique. Splash face with warm water.
  3. Tone and Moisturize-After the mask is off, use a toner to clean any residue out of your pores and to prevent future breakouts. After this step, moisturize using a cream, facial lotion, or a pure coconut oil. Fan your face until you are refreshed and the lotion is dry.
I hope you enjoyed this Positively Pampering post and have a great day!

Glam Bag! January 2012

I just received my January Glam Bag from www.myglam.com and want to show y'all! The bag is cloth but the inside is plastic and makeup proof! Here we go:

  • Freeman Facial Peel-Off Mask with Cucumber: Full-size 6 fl oz. This is supposed to peel off any impurities while the cucumber extract makes skin silky and soft. Cant wait to try!

  • Wen Sweet Almond Mint Cleansing Conditioner: Sample 2 fl oz. This acts like a shampoo, but doesn't have any Sodium Laurel Sulfate so it does not damage extensions or color treated hair. I am only going to use this about once every week or two.

  • Sheer Cover Concealer Duo in Light/Medium: Full-size 3 g. The light side is a slightly yellow concealer perfect for under the eyes, while the medium would be good for the nose or in the summer. And it is originally $30! OMG

  • The Balm Shady Lady Eyeshadow in Shameless Shana: Full-size 3.4 g. This is a beautiful chocolaty, bronze shimmery shade perfect for a smokey look, natural, or a one shadow eye look. Very soft and pigmented!

That's it! All of this was only $10 free shipping. Much love!

Braces? Going Somewhere?

How's your Monday been? I just got some more Invisaline trays and was thinking about ways I could keep my teeth clean without toothbrush and toothpaste! I had a few ideas and wanted to share:

  • Wisps: These things are little toothbrushes with a bubble of gel that acts like toothpaste and freshens your breath and cleans your teeth. On the end, it has a tooth pick and it the entire thing is about the size of a lipstick!

  • Gum: Of coarse this is very helpful and if you have metal braces, you can still chew gum if is doesnt have any sugar. After you eat and enjoy the flavor, pop a peice of your favorite gum and there you go!

  • Listerine Strips: You have probably seen these in the store. They are little stips of mouthwash! Perfect little container for your purse or pocket and they take seconds to melt!

  • Floss: Easiest thing ever! you can use little plastic flossers or just the string in the little containers in the travel section of Walmart or Target.

I hope you enjoyed!
